Finally – I Hit the Mark!
…with my new single, The Rain Will Never Stop, I feel like I’ve captured something I’ve never quite managed before!
From the very first note to the very last word, everything simply falls into place. The song, the arrangement, the lyrics, the vocals – they’re not just working alongside each other, they’re working with each other. There’s an energy here, a sense of balance and purpose, that feels like the truest reflection of what I’ve been striving for as an artist.
What really moves me is how the music, the words, and the atmosphere intertwine. The Rain Will Never Stop is dark and brooding, yet not without hope – shadows pierced by brief flashes of light. It creates a landscape you can almost step into, something you can feel as much as hear. That blend of weight and brightness, tension and release, is exactly what I’ve wanted to bring to life for so long.
And the best part? This song is not standing alone. The process of bringing it to life has unlocked something in me. It has shaped the way I write, the way I produce, even the way I listen. Out of that journey came not just one track, but a collection of songs that feel equally whole, equally alive. Enough songs, in fact, to form an album.
The album is called Coal Black Raven. It’s a record that soars and sinks, drifts and drives. It lives somewhere between alternative Americana, experimental Americana, spheric country, jangle pop – with just a tiny touch of trip hop adding an unexpected twist. It’s a mix of influences that somehow merge into something I can finally call my own sound.
The overall vibe is dark and atmospheric, but it’s not all gloom. Just like life, it’s threaded with those little glimpses of light – fragile, fleeting, but all the more powerful because of it. That balance is what gives these songs their weight and their soul.
I can’t give you a fixed release date yet, but what I can tell you is this: you can look forward to hearing Coal Black Raven on your favorite streaming platform. And for those of you who love something you can hold in your hands, it will also be available as a vinyl edition through the shop on my website.
This project has been in the making for a LONG TIME , and in many ways, it feels like the beginning of a new chapter. The Rain Will Never Stop is just the opening note – a signal of what’s to come. And I can’t wait to share the rest of this journey with you.
