Exploring AI in My Creative Process – Music, Visuals, and the Unknown

Yes, I use AI. Not just for music—but for visuals, video, and quite a few other things as well.

It’s become a core part of my creative process. But let me be clear: this isn’t about pushing a button and calling it done. Every track, every cover, and now even the videos I share come out of a mix of my ideas, a lot of trial and error, and some serious back-and-forth with various AI tools.

Think of it as digital brainstorming. I throw out some thoughts, the AI throws some wild things back, and somewhere in that loop, something clicks. Then comes the real work—refining, rethinking, remixing—until I land on something I want to share.

AI is here to stay (I think), and I’m both fascinated and a little uneasy about where it’s all headed. But instead of backing away, I’ve decided to dive deeper. Learn more. Experiment. Be part of the revolution, or at least not be caught completely off guard when it really kicks in.

Lately, I’ve been playing around with the video functionality in Midjourney—you might know it as a platform for generating stunning images, but now it’s testing out short AI-generated videos too. I won’t go too deep into the technical details (trust me, it gets weird fast), but when it works, the results can be jaw-dropping. And when it doesn’t? Well… let’s just say AI still has a pretty surreal sense of humor.

I’ve put together a few test clips, and you can see one of them just below this post. If you’re browsing on a desktop or tablet, you’ll also find it running in the hero banner of the site. (On mobile, it’s turned off to save your data—no one wants a surprise download bill.)

Whether this is your thing or not, I don’t know. But I find it exciting, and I’m definitely not done exploring.

Thanks for stopping by.
